Gaia's Garden
/ Concept
Gaia’s Garden is a premier destination for rare, luxurious succulents, catering to plant enthusiasts with an eye for rare plant species that are carefully cultivated and sustainably sourced. The brand captures the essence of nature’s harmony and renewal. The design prompt was to develop a high-end packaging concept that embodies these elements, transforming botanicals into a unique brand story of luxury and sustainability.

/ Design
Inspired by the mystique of Gaia, this premium packaging concept transforms the presentation of rare succulents into a refined experience. Its hexagonal prism form, greenhouse-inspired windows, and hidden soil compartment embody both elegance and functionality.
Greenhouse-Inspired Structure
The structure of the net builds a hexagonal prism to create an angular form. The prism widens outwards to effectively hug the pot of the succulent securely. The lid of the package contains multiple windows to carry the imagery of a greenhouse, with the top window taking the form of the brand logo. The windows also have a functional purpose of allowing light and heat to be absorbed.

Functional Transparency
Multi-sided plastic windows mimic a greenhouse, allowing sunlight to reach the plant while showcasing its quality before unboxing. The top window, shaped like the brand logo, reinforces brand identity.

Surprise Element
Beneath the succulent, a hidden compartment reveals a specialised soil mix, enhancing the planting experience and adding an element of surprise

/ Process
Inspired by the sharp angles of succulents, I designed a hexagonal packaging structure that merges form and function. Researching angular prisms and sustainable materials, I developed a greenhouse-inspired design with transparent windows for both aesthetics and practicality. Through four rounds of prototyping, I refined the structure to securely hold the plant while maintaining an elegant appearance.
